Born on April 3, 1973, in Houston, Texas, Greg Tally is an American actor and entrepreneur known for his work in low-budget indie horror films and as a comedy writer.
Tally's entertainment career began in 2013, appearing in numerous films that debuted in theaters, on Blu-ray, and streaming platforms. He also founded The Damn Dirty Drive-In, an online virtual sketch comedy group producing original podcast "radio plays" with global contributions. In addition to acting, Tally is involved in writing screenplays and audio plays, directing shorts, and producing both audio plays and feature-length films.
Outside of his filmmaking pursuits, Tally founded and operates the Dino Hotel, a natural history-themed paleontology hotel in Denver. He also co-owns the Wine Country Inn surrounded by vineyards in Colorado's Wine Country.
His early life was marked by a passion for creativity and entertainment, inspired by The Muppet Show and figures like Jim Henson, Walt Disney, P.T. Barnum, and Joel Hodgson, the creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Born on January 7, 1990, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Halle Capone is an American director, sound engineer, and screenwriter. Growing up as a rancher and competitive team roper, Capone was also a Bronze medal equestrian vaulter, a sport that combines gymnastics and dance on horseback.
In 2010, she moved to Los Angeles, living off Hollywood Boulevard in between Cecil B. DeMille's boarding house, and where the Black Dahlia resided.
Between selling screenplays and working on various film crews, Capone deepened her industry knowledge and produced her own feature film. Capone directed, "Misfits of the Profane," in 2019. This arthouse thriller, notable for its two-person crew and award-winning acting, showcases Capone's ability to handle complex productions with minimal resources.
She is also known for her work on dozens of other shorts and features, and the founding of the Guerilla Film Club, a production cooperative for indie filmmakers, in Los Angeles in 2015.
In 2023, Capone moved east with Tally to the rugged wildness of the Rocky Mountains.
Capone's artistic influences are many and varied, from writers Ernest Hemingway, Lois Lowry and Mary Shelley, to directors Billy Wilder, Terry Gilliam, Wim Wenders and Alejandro Jodorowsky, as well as Emerald Fennell, Tamra Davis, Nancy Meyers and Sofia Coppola.
In 2023, husband and wife team Tally and Capone co-founded Collywood Studios & Entertainment, LLC, a production company aiming to create unique and compelling content, mostly produced within their chosen home state of Colorado. Their partnership extends beyond their professional endeavors, reflecting their deep personal connection and shared creative vision.
Their collaborative projects reflect a blend of Tally's passion for horror and comedy with Capone's flair for suspense and drama. Together, they continue to push the boundaries of independent filmmaking, bringing unique and compelling stories to life.
Their journey is a testament to their dedication to their crafts, their entrepreneurial spirit, and their unwavering support for each other. As a couple, they continue to inspire and entertain audiences. Their work, both individually and as a team, exemplifies the power of creativity, determination, and collaboration.
Whether managing the Dino Hotel or producing films under Collywood Studios, Tally and Capone remain dedicated in their filmmaking and general love of movies, constantly evolving and exploring new avenues in the world of entertainment.
